All properties in Texas with irrigation systems are required to have a backflow device put in upon installation, and many municipalities require annual testing of these backflows. Whether the property is commercial or residential, we will find the backflow, test it, and submit it to the municipality.
Most residential irrigation systems are not required to be tested. Cities such as Princeton, Wylie, Lavon, Farmersville, and Aubrey do require residential irrigation testing, while Plano, Frisco, and Carrollton do not. Plano does not require annual testing of commercial irrigation backflows either.
Irrigation backflow assemblies are mechanical. Over time springs weaken, and debris may stop the seals from functioning as designed. Our technicians use calibrated test gauges and document every required test for the city.
