A residential domestic backflow usually serves a water softener. A fireline backflow protects the fire sprinkler system found in larger homes. An irrigation backflow protects the drinking water supply from a lawn irrigation system. Fire sprinkler systems and lawn sprinkler systems are separate systems, and each can have a backflow assembly that requires testing.
Most cities do not require residential irrigation backflows to be tested, although some municipalities do. Irrigation testing is required only where the local city ordinance calls for it. If you received a notice, we can identify which residential assembly is due, test it, and handle the compliance process.
Our technicians arrive in company uniforms, including shirts or hats, complete the test on-site, and submit the passing report directly to your city — whether that's Dallas Water Utilities, City of Plano, City of Frisco, or anywhere else in North Texas. You don't need to mail a form, upload a PDF, or follow up with anyone.
If your assembly fails the test, we carry common parts with us and can usually repair it the same day, then re-test and file the passing report immediately.
